Enterprise Elements Rebrands as InQuisient, Debuts New Products

Data management company InQuisient became a USGIF Organizational Member in May 2015. With its data management platform and numerous tools, the company’s mission is aimed at creating order from chaos for its customers in the intelligence and defense communities. In June, InQuisient transformed its branding and debuted a new look and feel, as well as two new product offerings, at USGIF’s GEOINT 2015 Symposium in Washington, D.C. Trajectory had the opportunity to speak with InQuisient CEO Scott Smith about the company’s makeover.

What is your company’s background and how did it get started?

Our company began in 2004 and our two founders at the time named the company Enterprise Elements. The mission continued to grow as our customer base grew, and this past year we came to a point where not only had our products matured but the marketplace was maturing as well. We had a great opportunity to take a look at what we do and how we do it, particularly our overall presence in the marketplace. We felt it was the right time to rebrand ourselves, not just with our products, but overall. We used the GEOINT 2015 Symposium in June as the kickoff for our new company name, InQuisient Inc., and the launch of our two new tools built on the InQuisient platform—Data Call Central and Project Portfolio Insight. We are a quickly growing and evolving organization and we are very pleased with the presence we had at GEOINT 2015 and the overwhelming success we are experiencing since the show.

What are your core capabilities and who are your customers?

We provide  data management software and the services to support our solution. Our software platform, InQuisient, is an enterprise data management platform that enables the end user to bring order from a chaotic data collection environment. Built for the enterprise, our tool  provides the robustness of an enterprise solution and is easy to deploy and easy to transition to, while delivering a  clear chain of custody.

We’ve been very fortunate since our founding to focus in the government space, in particular the intelligence and defense communities. While we have commercial customers, we have specifically geared our solutions toward intelligence and defense, which was why GEOINT 2015 was such a great forum for our re-launch and new tools.

What research and development initiatives is your organization pursuing?

We are constantly looking forward not only in data management but also in the cloud and beyond. We expect to have additional announcements of new solutions built on our platform to serve our government customers prior to the end of this year and in 2016.

What differentiates your company from others in the GEOINT Community?

What differentiates us is our ability to deploy an enterprise-wide software solution with ease-of-use and a browser-based system, where you can be up and running within the same day and in real-time without the expansive use of an IT department or consulting firm building complex, custom-driven solutions. Our software truly works out of the box.

Does your company have any recent news or announcements?

We introduced two new tools recently. Project Portfolio Insight is the big picture intelligence solution for any large project portfolio management effort. Users can track, review, and contribute to the management of numerous projects within a broader portfolio. Individual managers can review data and reporting through a single system and interface instead of trying to compare and collect hundreds of reports and spreadsheets. InQuisient’s Data Call Central streamlines data call processes and allows organizations to move away from multiple spreadsheets, SharePoint sites, and ticketing systems. The web-based tool can reduce an organization’s cost of data collection by more than 50 percent.
